What is the difference between the Silver and Gold certifications?
Silver Certification: Designed for entry to mid-level networking professionals, this certification focuses on foundational IPv6 knowledge and skills.
Gold Certification: Tailored for experienced professionals, this certification delves deeper into advanced IPv6 topics.
How long are the certifications valid?
Both the Silver and Gold certifications are valid for two years from the date of certification. After two years, you will need to recertify to ensure your skills and knowledge remain current.
What are the prerequisites for taking the exams?
There are no strict prerequisites for the Silver certification, though basic networking knowledge is recommended. For the Gold certification, it’s advisable to have completed the Silver certification or possess equivalent experience and understanding of IPv6 concepts.
How is the exam conducted?
The exams are conducted online and are proctored to ensure integrity. You can take the exam from the comfort of your home or office at a time that suits you best.
How can I prepare for the certification exam?
We have free IPv6 courses at https://afrinic.academy to help you prepare for your exams. We’ll also provide extensive practice exams to help you ace the exam.
What is the format of the exams?
60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes.
What is the passing score for the exams?
You must score at least 75% to pass the Silver exam and 80% to pass the Gold exam.
How much does the certification cost?
The Silver certification costs $100 and is valid for two years. The Gold certification costs $150 and is also valid for two years.
Can I retake the exam if I don't pass on my first attempt?
Yes, you can retake the exam. We’ll provide a free attempt if you don’t make it on your first attempt. You’ll get a 50% discount on subsequent attempts.
